POSITION SUMMARY
The Panel Installer is a non-exempt employee that installs and assembles prefabricated insulated metal panels, associated fixtures, and systems for cold storage construction projects. This position reports to the Field Superintendent.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Laying out perimeters
- Standing and connecting the panels
- Face Caulking the joints
- Sealing the corners with vapor barrier and foam
- Installing ceiling suspension system for S-Clip or T-Grid
- Door removal and installation
- Window removal and installation
- Demolition as needed
- Freezer floor insulation build up
- Column isolation blocks
- Exterior IMP wall and roof installation
- Assist Field Superintendent with making sure all necessary tools, equipment, and material are on site
- Responsible for making sure all tools are picked up and secured at the end of each shift
- Safely operate all equipment and tools
- Participate and attend safety meeting, trainings, and other educational meetings as assigned
- Maintain any necessary certifications
- Other duties as needed for business operations
- Promote and adhere to Mission, Vision, and Core Values of ATS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Familiarity with computers/field tablets or similar programs will be necessary
- Familiarity and ability with power tools and other tools necessary to complete thermal building assembly
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Must have the necessary physical stamina to be able to work for extended hours or workdays
- Knowledge of the principals of cold storage construction, including freezer and cooler construction details, vapor barriers, as well as installation of cold storage doors and underfloor insulation is a plus
- Must be safety minded and willing to follow the guidelines outlined in the Corporate Safety Plan to achieve the goal of an accident-free work environment
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid driver s license
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 80%
- Bilingual is preferred, but not required
