Job Description
The Team
We are seeking a Director, Global Security Operations to join American Tower’s Information Security organization. The Information Security team is responsible for protecting the confidential, integrity, and availability of American Tower’s data and systems in our core systems and platforms. Day to day you will focus on finding proactive solutions to prevent cybersecurity incidents, defending against cybersecurity incidents, as well as identifying, analyzing, communicating and containing these incidents when they do occur. As a Director, you will partner cross-functionally with the IT team and Innovation/Platform product groups to deliver secure solutions across our platforms.

Job Qualification
What You Can Offer Us
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) between cybersecurity and the lines of business in the development of appropriate policies, standards, frameworks and tools.
- Implement risk remediation tools and protocols to ensure issues are mitigated, risks are accounted for and exceptions are tracked in accordance with frameworks, policies and standards set by the organization.
- Educate stakeholders on cybersecurity-related matters in an effort to increase awareness and improve culture.
- Conduct network monitoring and intrusion detection analysis using various Computer Network Defense (CND) tools, such as Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), firewalls, Host-Based Security System (HBSS), etc.
- Constructively engage business partners regarding cybersecurity issues.
- Establish risk ownership and accountability within the platform.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- 10-12 years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility. 8 years of experience working in a complex network environment with a specific focus on business outcomes and service delivery.
- Strong ability to convey complex information risk and security issues in a manner that is easily understood and actionable and constructively challenges prevailing thoughts and processes.
- Strong sense of urgency and demonstrated commitment to high standards of ethics, regulatory compliance, customer service and business integrity.
- Strong organization, planning, and project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks for self and team to meet requirements and deadlines.
- Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
- Strong leadership skills; ability to drive and motivate team to achieve results.
- Approximately 10% travel may be required in support of the position’s responsibilities.
