Healthy Futures/Healthy Living for Aging Adults
Staff, key and critical program partners and AmeriCorps Service team members will design and to implement a 2022-2025 AmeriCorps Community Service Program Curriculum. The curriculums’ program and interventions objectives will address critical and unmet needs of low-income senior citizens and aging adults. The identified program interventions will be related to this populations’ health conditions, personal fitness, and personal nutritional needs. The program interventions will be data and scientific driven, evidenced-based, and best practiced, as per the AmeriCorps guidelines and for futuristic program replication, program expansion, program enhancements or continuous improvement.
Member Duties : AmeriCorps service members (The Team) will strategically plan, design, and develop an evidenced based, best practiced, and scientific driven 2022-2025 AmeriCorps Healthy Futures: Healthy Aging, Healthy Living Program Curriculum for implementation and sustainability. The curriculum will address and be in an alignment with AmeriCorps healthy futures focus area and its performance measurements. The team will target 173 low-income aging adults, aged 62 as they are aging in place in their own home at three host site locations Sacred Heart Village I, Sacred Heart Village II: and the Village of St. John.
Program Benefits : Relocation Allowance , Childcare assistance if eligible , Housing , Choice of Education Award or End of Service Stipend , Health Coverage , Stipend .
