Overview:
This Student Service Manager position will have an important role in a growing global education organization. This role reports directly to the New York Director of Campus Operations (DCO) with a dotted line to the Homestay Operations Manager.
This role has two main functions:
- Support the academic and social-emotional well-being of the international students studying at St. Anthony’s High School (SAHS) while also partnering with other key stakeholders such as overseas recruitment teams and school faculty.
- Support the Homestay Operations Manager to manage the host inventory and collaborate with various stakeholders to bring host family/student issues to an efficient, positive resolution.

Success in this role will be demonstrated by:
- Establishing nurturing and trusting stakeholder relationships with students, host families, school staff and Amerigo business partners

Implementing an organizational focus on delivering excellent student outcomes and high levels of student satisfaction leading to strong student retention rates
- Meet the needs of our host families to position them for success in delivering a safe and caring home environment
- Collaborating with the Homestay Operations Manager to ensure a successful student homestay experience
- Support the growth and seamless operation of the host family program
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The SSM will be responsible for overseeing and implementing many operational elements of the program at Saint Anthony's High School and the Host Family Program.
On a day-to-day basis, the SSM will be responsible for:
Management
- Work with the DCO to manage the operations of the international program at Saint Anthony’s High School in alignment with Amerigo's mission and the expressed objectives of the leadership team
- Develop and maintain a healthy, safe, and nurturing community culture that drives the academic success and retention of students
- Serve as daily liaison for the international program at the school, connecting with faculty, administration, etc. and participating in school events and meetings as appropriate
- Foster a positive, welcoming environment across our campus and offices
- Work with host families to execute key operational functions related to the host family program including but not limited to recruitment, administrative support, compliance, conflict resolution, communication, and coaching.
Student Experience
- Collaborate with school staff / administration to monitor student performance and progress related to any relevant academic, disciplinary, and emotional issues and administer progress reports to stakeholders in a timely manner
- Work with DCO to support student issues (behavioral, attendance, host family, academics)
- Plan and deliver American Experience events and support school extracurricular activities
- At times be asked to provide emergency support (either directly or via third party) to students
Host Family Program

Affectively collaborate with various stakeholders to bring student host family issues to a positive resolution
- Serve as the front line for host family day-today communication on a variety of platforms
- Assist with monthly host family payments and ensure accurate records and profiles are kept
- Support host recruitment efforts through visits, information sessions, and communication with prospective hosts
- Connect with host families as needed to support their concerns or concerns of the students
- Support the placement process and host family student moves as necessary
Operations
- Support the DCO with the planning and execution of student arrivals (transportation and logistics), orientation, uniforms, textbooks, and general readiness for the start of school
- Document student issues in Salesforce ensuring proper correspondence and notifications to stakeholders are timely and informative
- Support the maintenance of the student database to ensure data integrity (ex. enrollment status, grade level, ESL level, etc)
Communications | Collaboration
- Maintain appropriate communication channels with students, parents, business partners, and school partner staff
- Support the DCO in delivering school and program notifications to students and hosts (ex. upcoming events, deadlines, important updates)
- Work in close collaboration with Homestay Operations Manager/ DCO to ensure the successful integration with the host family program and ensure the necessary support is provided from the campus team
- Support prospective international student and business partners visits on campus as needed
KEY QUALIFICATIONS

- Excellent verbal & written communication
