What are the responsibilities and job description for the Thermopac Lead Maintenance Tech position at AmeriQual Group?
Now is your chance to join an organization where WHAT YOU DO MATTERS! Thermo Pac, LLC a food manufacturing facility, is seeking a lead Maintenance Technician for our 2nd shift. This position is responsible for completing necessary repairs to a variety of food manufacturing equipment and overseeing employees on the 2nd shift.
Hours: 3:30pm-12am Monday thru Friday
- Assist on new equipment installation, working professionally with manufacturing representatives, Engineering team, and other cross functional department team members
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions utilizing inspection, operation and testing of equipment for diagnostic purposes. Provide support for root cause analysis to create corrective actions to prevent repeat issues.
- Perform equipment calibrations and preventive maintenance including, but not limited to lubrication and frequency based tasks
- Understand and adhere to all safety guidelines and GMPs
- Understand when to contact manufacturers’ service technicians for assistance with repair or replacement of faulty equipment
- Update computerized maintenance system with accurate and timely information related to work performed
- Exhibit a sense of urgency around work order completion and documentation of work performed; must be comfortable quickly escalating and communicating equipment issues to others for additional support and resources
Qualifications
- Successful candidates will have a 2-year degree in Industrial Maintenance or two plus years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical abilities and troubleshooting aptitude required; Electrical experience strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as a member of a cross-functional team
- Professional, can-do mentality
- Thorough working knowledge of all current OSHA and Safety Standards
- Ability to multi task and prioritize; strong time management skills with the ability to work independently without extensive supervision
- Lead experience a plus
