Through user research, you will support and influence UX efforts to provide insights and user-informed experiences across the enterprise. You will collect and analyze user data to enhance UX and the customer experience across all channels and products.
You will advocate for best practices and standards that maximize customer and user engagement. You will define your own direction by collaborating with teams and asking the right questions.
You will work with complex data and mediums, drive solutioning with stakeholders and work cross-functionally. In this position, you will collaborate with key stakeholders, development, and senior partners to deliver customer insights.
Success in this role will require initiative, self-motivation, and follow through. Intellectual curiosity must drive the person in this position to actively reach out and collaborate with internal partners to search for the best solution.
What you do
- Collaborate with Ameritas stakeholders, product owners, UX designers, and engineers on a wide array of research projects
- Build relationships and create UX research champions across the enterprise
- Drive all stages of UX research: identifying, planning, driving, conducting, analyzing, and reporting out insights.
- Initiate and conduct research across the enterprise using both qualitative and quantitative methodologies
- Initiate and conduct generative and evaluative research
- Create and conduct both moderated and unmoderated UX research studies
- Use storytelling to communicate, advocate for, and socialize actionable insights in a compelling way
- Conduct UX research to inform digital experiences that meet user needs and business requirements
- Translate data into viable, actionable insights and business recommendations
- Facilitate collaboration sessions with product owners, product teams and key stakeholders to design the optimal customer experience
- Serve as subject matter expert (SME) and consultant to partners across the organization; field questions, research requirements, provide guidance and collect feedback
- Attend project and status meetings as required, providing strong UX research presence and user advocacy within cross-functional teams
- Work with and adjust to feedback
What you bring
- 1-2 years' experience working in UX research
- Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Computer Science, Psychology, or a related field desired.
- Experience partnering with multi-disciplinary teams required
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to effectively advise and influence required
- Experience using research tools e.g.; User Testing, Userzoom, User Interviews, Qualtrics
- Proficiency in visual design desired
- Experience with Design Thinking desired
- Experience working in an Agile environment desired
