What you do
- Own and guide required business support and strategy to achieve business outcomes.
- Oversee financial reporting and accounting control environment that adheres to regulatory and audit standards.
- Design plans and initiatives to support current business needs and build capabilities for a more effective and efficient future business state.
- Oversee current producer compensation project.
- Create and communicate a vision and strategy for the division.
- Cultivate competitiveness through external awareness of the market.
- Oversee and develop associate and business resources.
- Represent the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Values by exemplifying leadership and customer focus.
- Build internal and external relationships to support, promote, and grow the business.
- Act as an enterprise contributor by partnering with leaders throughout the organization on cross-division initiatives.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of accounting professionals to assure quality customer service, support career growth pathing and evaluate performance.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 10 years of accounting or finance experience
- 4-7 years of strong leadership or people management experience with a proven track record of developing and upskilling teams
- Familiarity with regulatory accounting principles for life insurance companies and Broker Dealers preferred
- Strong communication and executive presence capabilities.
