What you will do as an Assembly Technician
As an Assembly Technician, you will work closely with the engineering and quality teams to fabricate standard and custom engineered products and systems. Using the guidance of engineering drawings, a job traveler, and the project engineer, you will layout the system, install all components, wire the components, and plumb the system. Aside from having the required skills and/or aptitude, the keys to success for an assembly technician are maintaining a positive attitude, keeping a consistent pace, and havening a high attention to detail.
Job Requirements of the Assembly Technician
• Must be able to read assembly drawings and follow detailed instructions
• Familiarity with electro-mechanical instrumentation assembly
• Ability to layout and install sample handling/condition systems
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with Engineering, Quality and Materials personnel
• Must be extremely motivated to work at the highest production standards
• Must be well Organized and Detail Oriented
• Must be able to use the following properly and safely:
o Standard hand tools including, screw drivers, wrenches, ratchets, hammers, crimpers, and cutting tools.
o Hand Soldering Iron
o Power Tools:
§ Hand drill and bench drill, cutting wheel, grinder, and band saw
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift at least 50lbs repeatedly
• 1-3 years’ experience in a fast-paced manufacturing facility with preference given to Electrical, Mechanical and/ or Pneumatic Panel Fabrication and Manufacturing
Salary : $40,000 - $60,000
