Amicus Therapeutics is a global, patient-dedicated biotechnology company focused on discovering, developing, and delivering high-quality medicines for people living with rare metabolic diseases.
Position Summary
Become a critical part of a small and lively Corporate Communications team that passionately stewards the communications strategies of an energetic, patient-focused global biopharmaceutical company. This position will work across departments to direct our strategy and manage content, comms channels, and timelines.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the development and ongoing management of comprehensive internal and external communications strategies, as well as all processes required to execute against those strategies
2. Manage external communications agency and budget to support our reputation globally through overall messaging, media relations, thought leadership, issues management, digital/social media presence, creative content development, and other communications approaches
3. Proactively identify opportunities to bring forward positive and inspiring communications by connecting with leaders on a regular basis
4. Execute a cadence of employee communications, including internal messaging and employee events, that is thoughtful and supportive of our overall corporate objectives and culture
5. Ensure quality of all messages and materials, with all deadlines and expectations met or exceeded
6. Develop internal and external facing communications from senior leadership and CEO, including writing, editing, and disseminating content
7. Lead social media strategy, exploring new channels for engagement and creating content that reinforces our mission and vision
8. Draft external facing communications such as corporate website, press releases, and other communications channels as needed
Requirements
Educational Requirements
· Bachelors degree or similar experience
Professional Work Experience Requirements
· 7 years of communications experience, some healthcare experience, preferably with a biotech or pharmaceutical company, is preferred
Experience and Skills
· A fantastic writer with an excellent eye for design
· Impeccable written and visual communications skills with demonstrated experience writing effective and compliant social media posts, thought leadership pieces, web content, presentations, and press releases
· Proven experience managing corporate social media channels, particularly Twitter and LinkedIn, and creating effective and compliant content for them
· Ability to manage a corporate web presence
· Ability to think creatively, both in conceptual/visual approaches and in problem solving
· Fast turnaround and sense of urgency
· Desire to own projects and drive to completion
· Ability to manage and maintain confidentiality of sensitive materials

Location
· To be based in either UK or USA - remote working opportunities available
Travel
· It is expected that any remote workers are able to travel to the office up to 10% of the time
