Position: STA Analyst
Location: San Francisco. CA
Type : Contract
The STA analyst collects, coordinates, and maintains all information necessary for effective management of the Bank’s Settlement Transaction Account (STA). Responsible for researching and analyzing system issues or STA discrepancies. Act as primary daily contact between Bank and shareholders regarding inquiries on accounts. Manages the CAA Billing System, Signature Cards, Authorized Signors application and Credit Audit Confirmations. Maintain controls to protect the Bank from risk and mitigate potential losses. Ability to self-Identify, develop, and implement process improvements and/or take responsibility for Operations related project initiatives as a SME. Provide exceptional customer service to customers and business partners. Prepares reconciliations and month-end reports.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure that the STA system is balanced daily to general ledger and corporate database. Prepare reconciliations and process adjustments
- Ensure all current fees are recorded and accounted for in the CAA Billing System monthly
- Complete all Credit Audit Confirmation requests from external auditors in a timely and efficient manner
Ensure transactions are accurately and timely recorded
Reconcile daily/monthly/quarterly transactions and reporting; research and resolve discrepancies
- Calculate and record member overdraft fees and charges
- Respond to Member Services regarding member institutions’ requests and questions pertaining to STA processing
- Maintain members’ accounts – open, merge, and close accounts. Coordinate with Legal, Credit, and Member Services departments on mergers and acquisitions
- Maintain a high level of customer service with internal and external customers. Primary point of contact for members’ transaction inquiries that posts to STA accounts
- Maintain signature cards processing and filing. Maintain Authorized Signors application and respond to queries and concerns from other departments.
- Prepare month-end compliance and regulatory reports as required for the department.
- Support and assist with other projects and responsibilities, as requested.
Criteria:
Four years of experience of Bank Settlement Transaction Account
- Ability to research, analyze, and resolve STA related issues and problems.
- Able to proficiently operate PC-based software programs and/or automated database systems (primarily Microsoft Office applications and tools).
- Ability to independently prioritize workload to ensure that deadlines and schedules are met and to work accurately and effectively in a self-motivated working environment.
Detailed oriented and a self-starter
Depth of expertise sought: Mid-level to high-level experience in STA
Immediate placement through July 31, 2023. Extension is likely.
Preferred location: Local, work 2 days each week at the SF Offices – Tuesday and Wednesday.
