The Gist…
Our Sr Drupal Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance Drupal websites. They will work closely with our development team, project managers, and clients to deliver robust and scalable web solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of Drupal architecture, custom module development, and theming.
What Your Day Might Include…
- Develop and maintain Drupal Customer Service Web Portal
- Design and implement new features and functionality in Drupal.
- Create custom modules and themes based on project requirements.
- Provide content management portal to be used for communicating with the public, utilizing the Drupal open-source content management tool in the DHS Web Content Management as a Service (WCMaaS) cloud offering.
- Develop expertise and infrastructure services to support, maintain and modernize primary public interface for information and services.
- Support the mission by providing timely and accurate general information to staff and customers.
- Ensure high-performance and availability of Drupal sites.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Drupal sites.
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in Drupal development.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, including planning, design, testing, and deployment.
Requirements
You’ll Bring These Qualifications
- US Citizenship Required to obtain Public Trust
- Bachelor Degree 7 years of experience
- Experience with software development, software architecture, APIs, and microservices
- Experience with building software using agile methods
- Experience with full stack development including the Drupal Content Management System and PHP
- Experience with build, deployment, and release automation and orchestration in a DevOps environment including Apache Web Server, GitHub
- Experience supporting enterprise Cloud applications or infrastructure
- Experience with infrastructure as code environments, including any activities around automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, and monitoring and testing, such as CI/CD
- Experience writing and evaluating user stories, acceptance criteria, and pull-requests
- Experience working in HCD, Agile and DevSecOps environments
- Experience Lean Design, Test Driven Development (TDD), and Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
- A passion to contribute to the full stack – the front-end, backend and anything in-between (middleware or otherwise).
