The Role
The Director of Talent & Learning will play a critical leadership role in distinguishing Amperity’s culture through curiosity, learning, growth and high performance of individuals and teams rooted in our values - Play for Each Other, Make Something Better Today and Build for Durability.
This role will focus on building employee skills, strengthening manager capability, creating development programs from onboarding through the full employee life cycle, and ultimately establishing a growth and learning culture as we scale. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Director of Talent & Learning will work both strategically and operationally across individuals, employee groups, managers and HR teams.
Responsibilities
Learning
Design and deliver learning programs and solutions that enable skill development inclusive of functional skills (eg. project management, technical skills) and professional skills (eg. leadership, building teams, story telling):
- Evolve the onboarding experience by redesigning and executing programs to strengthen the new hire cohort experience as well as extend onboarding into the functional orgs (Engineering, Finance, Sales, etc)
- Create and execute solutions that build manager capability through monthly manager connects and cohorts to deliver on outcomes such as clear goal setting, effective performance management and productive team meetings.
- Identify and implement a comprehensive Learning Management System (LMS) to establish learning analytics, assess learning progress, understand learning impact and make adjustments as needed.
- Identify a Learning Content Provider to enable individual On Demand learning as needed as well as structured learning communities.
- Design and deliver development courses for Ampers to improve their effectiveness inclusive of holding effective progress check ins, delivering and receiving feedback and leveraging internal networks.
Talent
Create and execute talent practices that enable talent assessment, development and movement:
- Design and implement career development initiatives inclusive of career conversations, development plans, and mentoring programs with DE&I related approaches and outcomes integrated throughout
- Partner with HRBPs to develop insights from the Employee Survey as well as support HRBPs in leveraging survey learnings to coach managers and executives on leadership and team effectiveness
- Develop integrated practices that enable strategic management of talent inclusive of talent reviews, succession planning and execution, development planning, internal movement and talent deployment
- Provide strategic partnership to Amperity’s Employee Groups to leverage their unique, diverse perspectives to help the company achieve our mission critical business objectives
- Develop the Amperity Diversity Committee by ensuring alignment to the broader DE&I and global People strategy, providing guidance and lending support in developing, prioritizing, and implementing DE&I initiatives.
Continually assesses the effectiveness and competitiveness of talent and learning initiatives and practices by leveraging industry trends, benchmarks and best practices against relevant comparable companies and industries.

Requirements:
- 12 years in Talent Management, Learning & Development, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion or as an HRBP
- 5 years of developing organization wide programs and/or practices
- Demonstrated results delivering DE&I outcomes through talent/learning initiatives
- Experience working in fast paced, high growth, global organizations
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience; MA/MBA preferred
