SUMMARY:

Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is an associate-mid level sales position primarily responsible for inside sales account lead generation, opportunity qualification, cultivating the prospect and customer relationship, increasing revenue and profit, closing new accounts, and building the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

This position also serves as the primary service contact for clients and is responsible for client satisfaction, including some strategic planning responsibilities. This position is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service and leadership to accounts, as well as represent company goals within the organization to ensure quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Increase sales volume within existing business through account penetration and secure net new business with support from lead generation and marketing teams.
  • Responsible for complete prospect lifecycle-from lead qualification through close and customer on-boarding
  • Be responsible for up selling programs, services, and value-added products into current customer base.
  • Develop/qualify inbound leads within specified new potential customer segment in your assigned region.
  • Qualify new business primarily through inbound emails, leads, calls, and scheduled appointments from potential customers, developing high level conversations with mid-senior executives to target broader sales opportunities, and generate sales growth.
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects that have not purchased from the company in the past and are identified as new customer acquisitions.
  • Sell through calls and/or web-based presentations to manage service positioning, and strategies.
  • Schedule technician service appointments and input service call details in company scheduling software platform.
  • Serve as first point of contact for inbound calling clients regarding appointment requests and product and services inquiries.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and customer retention through consistent, productive account calls.
  • Be responsible for up selling programs, services, and value-added products into current customer base.
  • Represent the company by consistently demonstrating the understanding and modeling of company mission and values.
  • Continually educate yourself on new technical applications, products, programs, and services available to customers in the territory and implement them when appropriate.
  • Align the overall corporate solution to the customer’s business needs, challenges, and technical requirements.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills: writing, editing, and presenting.
  • Increase pipeline through demand generation and targeted campaigns to the service base accounts.
  • Collaborate with VP Sales, Marketing & Design and Project Lighting Consultant Sales team on sales strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree and/or applicable relevant experience.

• Minimum of 2 years successful experience as a successful inside sales representative.

• Experience in lighting industry and/or construction trade is preferred, but not required.

• Proficient in concepts in commercial and/or consumer service-oriented companies.

• Ability and experience selling to Manager levels within the organization.

• Effective problem solving and decision-making skills.

• Strong communication (verbal and written) and relationship skills.

• Organization and time management skills.

• Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding assigned annual/quarterly goals and targets.

• Attentive to forecasting and business reporting responsibilities.

• At least an intermediate level in using Microsoft Office products Especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Proven aptitude for learning software platforms (e.g., PipeDrive, Service Trade, SharePoint, and QuickBooks).
