Job Title: Production Control Coordinator
Summary: The Production Control Coordinator will coordinate all material for serial production programs. This requires daily upkeep of the production schedule, coordinating inbound WIP components, performing inventory control counts, scrap counts, and managing work orders for serial production. A self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, outstanding punctuality, and attendance is a must-have for this position.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Responsible for maintaining the serial production schedules
- Enter and maintain sales orders for serial production
- Maintains FIFO, running inventory electronics, distribute electronics to production as needed
- Performs area inventory counts for serial production
- Schedules inbound trucking, obtains quotes for LTL shipments, and gives direction to suppliers
- Manages all serial production work orders. Ensures that all required inventory transactions are completed correctly and on time
- Notifies MP&L Manager immediately of any production concerns regarding inventory availability
- Maintains scrap reports and hold tag transaction in MRP/ERP system for serial production
- Send ASN’s for serial production shipments
- Access customer portals as needed to obtain releases
- Generate and prepare the weekly flat file for approval and release
- Daily finished good count verifications
Other Duties
- Attend Meetings in MP&L Managers absence
- Work in a cross-functional team with Production, Quality, and Purchasing
- Willing and able to learn and perform all job functions in the MP&L department
- Understanding Serial Production
- Be open to new ideas coming from management, bring continuous improvement ideas to the processes regarding efficiency, effectiveness, and coordination of activities
- Verify kitting times and chemical availability for high mix production work orders
- Understand MRO minimum and maximum levels
Qualifications, Education and/or Experience
- ERP/MRP software experience
- Computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite
- Able to manage time effectively, work independently, be flexible in working hours, and have a positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills, attendance, and punctuality
- Ability to work overtime when necessary, understand this is not necessarily an 8 hour a day job every day
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
