Your tasks and responsibilities

- As Senior Product Manager for ALS and Proximity Sensing, you are responsible for the definition and documentation of new ALS and Proximity products
- Collect, benchmark and analyze new ALS and Proximity product and application requirements
- Lead cross-functional teams developing new products that solve customers’ problems using ALS and proximity data
- Define market leading products incorporating mixed-signal ICs, III-V emitters, assembly and optics technologies and advanced software algorithms
- Align product requirements with customers, sales, marketing managers, application engineering and R&D teams and maintain alignment throughout product development
- Create comprehensive product documentation for our customers including datasheets and content for new promotion materials
- Act as technical expert to our customers and support design-in activities
- Provide technical trainings to customers, sales and application engineers
Your education and experiences
- Master and/or PhD in electrical engineering, materials science, optics, physics or related field of study
- >7 years relevant professional experience with technical product management or system architecture
- >5 years relevant professional experience with optical or spectral sensors similar to or equivalent to those manufactured and sold by ams OSRAM
- Strong technical background in the field of CMOS ICs, III-V emitter technologies and related product development
- Good social and intercultural competencies
- Capability to lead controversial discussions with stakeholders and customers and to convince them about your own solutions
- Systemic thinking and understandable communication and documentation of complex concepts
- Hands-on, self-driven mentality
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced dynamic environment
