The Proposal Specialist supports the organization's business development and sales activities by targeting new businesses and renewals. The Proposal Specialist is pivotal in leading the development and completion of responses to RFPs, RFIs, and proposal requests by coordinating efforts among several departments.
Responsibilities
- Leads and executes RFP proposal development and submission for new business opportunities and renewal of existing accounts.
- Partners across the organization with Sales, Leadership, Clinical, Account Management, Carrier Partners, Brokers, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to produce and submit consistent, high-quality strategic responses to RFPs and RFIs
- Works closely with the Sales Team to develop presentations and reports to show the full scope of services and company differentiators, creating effective and appropriate content for proposals and RFPs.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures that support Proposal and RFP response development and submission.
- Creates accurate, high-quality proposals that improve bid-win probability.
- Manage quoting, proposal generation, and renewal processes for multiple lines of business.
- Work directly with the Sales team, providing input on sales and marketing strategies.
- Oversee and manage assigned new business opportunities.
- Generate reports from internal systems and databases.
- Continuously collaborate with both internal and external parties for process streamlining and continuous improvement
- Review and evaluate assigned new business opportunities by working closely with sales and underwriting to gather necessary information.
- Develop and grow strong working relationships with external carriers, brokers, and vendors for effective communication and negotiation.
- Remain up to date with available market products and healthcare industry trends.
- Track detailed sales activity for your assigned opportunities/prospects daily utilizing various tools, email, and web-based systems.
- BA/BS, required, offsetting combination of education and experience will be considered.
- 3-5 years of experience in Sales Support, Client Services, PBM Industry, Project Management
- Some travel may be required.
- High attention to detail on all levels, including product, formatting, and organization of work.

- Ability to prioritize effectively to work efficiently within a dynamic environment.

- Proven Project Management experience with the capacity to manage several projects concurrently.
