About The Opportunity
This position is responsible for the overall administration, coordination and health of the human resource function within the Authority. This position ensures that the organization is in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and administrative rulings of governmental organizations and regulatory authorities.
Direct reports include Human Resources Administrative Assistant, Human Resources Generalists, and Safety Officers.
The internal title for this position is Human Resource Manager, however, the experiences align more with a Human Resource Director.

The Director of Human Resources serves as a business partner to the senior leadership team and assists with the creation of a positive, motivating and safe work environment that will attract and retain quality, talented individuals. Also serve as Authority Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Officer.
Key Responsibilities Include:
You have demonstrated expertise in all areas of HR, including direct labor negotiating experience. You appreciate the unique aspects of a public sector environment. You also possess a Bachelors in Human Resources or related field with concentrated coursework in human resources management. Master's degree and/or SPHR and/or SHRM-SCP preferred.

- Provide senior leadership and supervision for the Human Resources department for the purpose of developing a high-performance team that can deliver services effectively and efficiently in a changing environment
- Ensure effective and efficient approaches to resource management throughout the department for the purposes of delivering agreed upon results
- Participate in senior agency leadership to ensure the development and success of the overall organization
