Associate Scientist 1 (2744)

The Process Chemistry team is seeking an Associate Scientist to be a be part of an innovative Chemistry group with responsibilities including (but not limited to) the design, synthesis, and purification of novel compounds for use in clean beauty, health, specialty and performance chemicals, applications.  The Associate Scientist will work in teams to develop, implement, and perform organic reactions, including troubleshooting of synthetic routes and reactions, scouting of new synthetic routes, and performing high difficulty synthetic chemistry. This individual will help with structural determinations using NMR and other analytical methods and purify compounds using a variety of techniques. A successful candidate will be responsible for performing chemical syntheses, purification processes and rigorous documentation under the supervision of scientists, and engineers.  Strong communication skills are necessary for a team environment and working closely with cross functional teams.  Collaboration is key to successfully moving projects forward with safety as a priority for all Process Development activities. #LI-RG1 At Amyris, we believe that diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) is essential to our core values.
