Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Install, configure and troubleshoot various desktop/server software applications and hardware solutions
- Build standard Windows desktop which includes, but not limited to Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and client specific applications
- Windows server administration and Active Directory configuration.
- Support servers including security configurations, patching, security vulnerability remediation and troubleshooting.
- Helps develop and refine procedures for identifying and mitigating common system issues
- Identify weak points or gaps in the systems architecture and provide recommendations for improving operations and the end user experience
- Uses tools like Ansible, Puppet, etc. to implement automation of sysadmin tasks
- Manages backups, off-site archives, and disaster recovery system readiness
- Assist with a wide array of network and application issues, from printing, scanning, peripherals
- Provide both on-site and remote support.
- Assist with network implementations and projects
- Analyze organization’s needs, conduct technical research, and implement appropriate solutions to meet needs and comply with department standards.
Basic Qualifications:
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
- 5 years of experience in Windows Server Administration (2012 or higher)
- 1 years of experience in IT Support (Tier I, II or III)
- Experience with Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVMs), Active Directory (AD), Basic networking configuration and troubleshooting, Virtual Tele-Conference (VTC) systems, PC and Server hardware replacement, Linux server administration, Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) systems and have experience working in the DoD NIPRNET environment
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere. Familiarity with Tanzu administration, including deploying and managing Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG) clusters.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
- Experience collecting and evaluating OS performance data and identifying hardware failures, Internet protocols, OS security controls, and OS network configuration
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange and Office 365, and Microsoft Server File/Print Server, Microsoft BitLocker Administration and Monitoring (MBAM), Microsoft Advanced Group Policy Management (AGPM), and/or Microsoft Distributed File System (DFS)
- Experience with network monitoring and configuration capture tools
- Experience administering centralized authentication services like AD or LDAP
- Experience with IP network operations to include network switching/routing, firewalls, and configuring subnets
- Experience with ticketing systems, issue tracking, and collaboration tools
- Cloud (AWS or Azure), Risk Management Framework (RMF) and SQL Server (2019) experience are desired but not required
