Job Description
Job Title: Permanent Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Med Surg unit on a permanent basis. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in the medical-surgical setting, collaborating with healthcare providers, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess and monitor patients’ conditions and changes in health status
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
4. Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
5. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and self-care practices
6. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and quality care
7. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current RN license in the state of practice
2. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
3. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Med Surg setting
4. BLS and ACLS certifications
5. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
8. Attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care
