Job Title: Perm RN Oncology
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Oncology team on a permanent basis. The Perm RN Oncology will be responsible for providing compassionate care to patients with cancer and other terminal illnesses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oncology nursing and a passion for helping patients navigate their treatment journey.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Administer chemotherapy and other cancer treatments as prescribed by the oncologist
- Monitor patient vital signs and symptoms, and assess their response to treatment
- Educate patients and their families about the disease process, treatment options, and side effects of treatment
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families throughout their treatment journey
- Participate in research studies and clinical trials related to oncology nursing
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology nursing
- Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN) preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Knowledge of chemotherapy drugs and their side effects
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
