Under the direction of the Executive Clinical Director, and Clinical Manager this position performs professional work involving implementation of exceptional communication and organizational skills to ensure the sustainable growth of Anchor Labs Services. The phlebotomy manager will carry-out her/his duties adhering to the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct, acts in the best interest of Anchor Lab Services, LLC and fully supports the mission, vision, and of Anchor Lab Services, LLC. Phlebotomists must provide reassurance to patients. They must also look after the mental and physical well being of their patients. The phlebotomist draws quality blood samples and prepares those samples for testing following Anchor Lab Services protocols and policies. The phlebotomist will handle confidential information and always focus on HIPPA. Explain all procedures to all patients to ensure that they are aware of the processes. Will demonstrate customer services to the highest standard and delivery quality. Upon hire candidates can be hired at draw stations, doctor’s offices, patient service centers, etc.
The primary duties and responsibilities of a Phlebotomist include:
- Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens from patients
- Label and properly store collected specimens for laboratory testing
- Follow established laboratory procedures and protocols
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Verify patient information and ensure accurate labeling of specimens
- Assist with data entry and documentation of test results
- Adhere to safety and infection control policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program
- Current certification as a phlebotomist (e.g., CPT, PBT)
- Knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment
Note: Previous experience working in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred, but not required.
