Qualifications:
A high school diploma is required; an Associate’s Degree is preferred Minimum of two years experience in a health care setting working directly with individuals who are elderly and/or disabled is preferred. General computer experience is required; knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is preferred.
As a Rehabilitation Technologist in a Grace Management Services facility you must be able to perform the following essential functions as demonstrated by the ability to:
Essential Job Functions:
Assists with treatment of residents in physical therapy according to the services permitted by the Ohio or Indiana Physical Therapy Board.
Assists with organizing therapy services, programs and activities.
Assists in transporting residents to and from the physical therapy room/area.
Reassures residents before and during therapy treatment.
Prepares resident for treatment by dress/position and administer physical therapy in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Instructs and supervises resident during therapy treatment.
Recommends modification and changes in resident’s therapy treatment as indicated.
Determines proper equipment usage, application and body position and make adjustments as necessary in the administration of physical therapy treatments (e.g. gait training, traction, whirlpool, etc.)
Maintains a current knowledge of the law and regulations regarding rehabilitative services and consults with supervisor to ensure that all employment actions are in compliance with applicable regulations.
Attends and participates in scheduled training, educational classes and meetings required or requested for position.
Ensures a safe environment and utilizes tools and equipment in a safe manner complying with all infection control, universal precautions and OSHA standards for the healthcare professional.
Reports all hazardous conditions including incidents, injuries and equipment to Supervisor/appropriate personnel immediately.
Responds to and acts appropriately in emergency or disaster situations.
Adheres to high standards of cleanliness, grooming, hygiene and dress code.
Adheres to all policies of company, including job description, certification requirements, mission statement, HIPAA, confidentiality standards and resident’s rights.
Adapts to changes in responsibility in a positive manner, is receptive to new ways of completing tasks and in flexible in carrying out assignments.
Communicates and interacts professionally and effectively with residents and coworkers throughout the community ensuring a cooperative environment while maintaining self-control.
Communicates and interacts professionally and effectively with family members in attending to and meeting their requests.
Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively discharge the responsibilities of the position and are
in the best interests of the organization.

Must be able to lift 50 to 75 pounds. Raising objects from lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from
position to position. This requirement occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper
extremities and back muscles.
Must be able to balance, climb, crouch, grasp, kneel, pull, push, reach, stand and stoop adequately to perform the
essential functions of the job.
Must be able to hear, smell, feel and speak adequately to perform the essential functions of the job.
Must be able to read and write the English language.
Must be able to work inside and outside with exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
