Job Requirements
The following are required :
Associate's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., project management, business development, communication, marketing, nutrition).
Equivalent experience in related fields may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
Previous experience in grant management, partnership development, program coordination, and community engagement or marketing and promoting a business.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software preferred.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
The following are preferred :
A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, project management, public health or related field.
Prior work experience in child nutrition programs, primary / secondary school systems, food service.
Demonstrated successful completion of a marketing and promotional program within the past two years.
Essential Job Functions
Grant Coordination and Management :
Manage and promote current grant activities, encompassing, but not limited to, the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program, Supply Chain Assistance grant, USDA Breakfast grants, USDA Equipment grants, and various State or Federal grants, while integrating marketing strategies to enhance visibility and impact.
Identify grant opportunities by conducting research to identify potential grant opportunities aligned with departmental objectives and goals through comprehensive research, incorporating marketing insights and strategies.
Collaborate with key stakeholders and ASD Grants and Development Department to prepare and submit compelling grant proposals, ensuring compliance with grant guidelines and deadlines.
Coordinate efforts among team members to facilitate communication and collaboration for efficiency
Integrate marketing and promotional strategies with available grant opportunities to effectively showcase program impact and achievements, enhancing community engagement and funding prospects.
Manage the budget for the program in collaboration with the Business Development Manager, Budget Analyst, and / or Senior Director, ensuring all expenditures align with marketing and program objectives, and remain within budget constraints.
Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote student nutrition programs within the community and to potential funders, leveraging insights from grant research and proposals.
Create engaging marketing materials, including brochures, social media content, newsletters, and presentations, to showcase program impact and achievements, integrating grant-related messaging where relevant.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to leverage marketing opportunities and increase program visibility.
Works with managers and cafeteria workers to assure that promotional / marketing expectations are known and understood, and procedures and department objectives are accomplished.
Evaluate program effectiveness, integrating insights from both grant and marketing activities to inform future strategies and initiatives.
