Mowing Crew

Job Summary

As a mowing crew member, you will be part of a crew of 2-4 individuals. Generally, the work will include mowing lawns in a professional fashion, line trimming where mowers cannot reach, push mow as needed, operating a back pack blower, and assistance with landscape operations as needed.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Participates in all job site safety briefings with crew members
• Help make sure that all equipment is loaded and fueled up if needed for each job on a daily basis.
• Reports for duty at the designated location on time each day.
• Follows direction of foreman’s/supervisors.
• Ensures that all safety rules and company policies are adhered to.
• Participates in all safety training, ask questions, and improve job efficiency.
• Communicates well with all crew members, foreman’s and supervisors.
• Strive to improve job skills and develop the potential for upward mobility.

You will undergo a two week probationary period in which the company will evaluate your skills and performance and place you on the appropriate crew and work tasks. • You must be at least 18 years old, enthusiastic and dependable, and able to safely work with power equipment
• Previous experience is helpful, but you must have an understanding of landscape basics.
• Safely perform heavy lifting/pushing/pulling of various landscaping equipment and materials, including, but not limited to backpack blowers, large containers of mulch/plant material, various sizes of lawnmowers, etc.
• Leverage 80 lbs. of a walk behind mower over curbs
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Lift branches and limbs
• Walk up to 10 miles a day, sometimes uphill and on uneven terrain, often while carrying, pushing, or pulling equipment, materials, or debris.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
