General Purpose of Job:
The Sales Manager position is responsible for managing all aspects of H.W. Andersen Products of California sales on the west coast. They also oversee customer contact through the home office to maintain positive customer relations. They plan, develop and establish policies and objectives of the business organization. This is an on-site position located at our campus between Chapel Hill, NC and Burlington, NC.
Sales Manager Responsibilities:
- Communicating with clients to understand their needs and explain product value
- Building relationships with clients built on product knowledge and listening to their needs
- Training new and existing customers in the correct use of equipment and best practices over the phone, virtually or in person
- Collaborating with internal departments to facilitate client need fulfillment
- Keeping accurate records pertaining to your client communication within the ZOHO CRM database
- Maintaining updated knowledge of company products and services
- Resolving complaints and preventing additional issues by improving processes
- Identifying industry trends and collaborating with Marketing to develop campaigns based on these trends
- Acting as an industry specialist for your clients’ needs
- Preparing for and attending industry tradeshows
Sales Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, and/or previous experience in Veterinary, Healthcare, or Capital Equipment sales preferred
- Experience in R&D, or equipment service environment also advantageous
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collect, track, and analyze data
- Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent active listening skills
- Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others within the company, and externally
- Understanding of consumer behaviors and industry trends

Salary Type: Salaried Exempt - Salary is commensurate with experience.
Schedule: Full-Time
Shift: Monday through Friday
Hours: 8:30am to 5:00pm (hours may vary when traveling)
