As the Tax Advisor Manager, you will lead and supervise a dedicated team of Tax Advisors, overseeing their delivery of expert tax advice and strategic guidance to clients. Your role involves identifying tax planning opportunities and implementing strategies to minimize clients' tax liabilities, all while ensuring strict compliance with evolving tax laws and regulations. You will work collaboratively with both management and clients to cultivate and sustain strong relationships. Your responsibilities extend to conducting detailed reviews of the Tax Advisor team's work, including consultations, communications, and other deliverables. Proactive and timely communication with both clients and team members regarding project status and client service opportunities is crucial. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in providing training, direction, and supervision to your tax team, contributing to their professional growth and success. Participation in firm initiatives and projects further demonstrates your commitment to the overall success and strategic goals of the organization.

Job Duties:

• The Tax Advisor Manager will manage a team of Tax Advisors whoprovide expert tax advice and guidance to clients, identify tax planning opportunities, and help clients minimize their tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Maintaina strong understanding of the changing tax laws and regulations
• Work directly with management and clients to build and maintain relationships
• Perform detailed reviews of Tax Advisor work
• Review tax consultations, communications, and other requested deliverables
• Communicate proactively and timely with clients and team members regarding project status, client service opportunities, and other matters
• Provide training, direction, and supervision to a tax team
• Participate in firm initiatives and projects

Job Requirements:

• Minimum CPA (Certified Public Accountant), JD (Juris Doctor), LLM (Master of Laws)
• Experience with tax-related software and other systems including BNA, CCH, Salesforce, Corvee, Bluejay AI
• BS/BA in Accounting and/or Finance
• Minimum 4 years of experience in advising clients on tax strategies and structuring
• Minimum 4 years of leadership experience in a public accounting firm with direct reports
• Have an excellent command of the Internal Revenue Code
• Tax Resolution/Controversy experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to effectively supervise, train, and work with Tax Advisors
• Proven success with change management
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple engagements while meeting tax deadlines
• Strong analytical, supervisory, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills
• Able to explain tax and business matters with clients
• A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Innovative and can think outside of the box
