Production Lead

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Able to set up production jobs and appropriate personnel; check all components and materials for the appropriate shelf life and accompanying documentation; match up the components and materials with the work instructions and checkthe job’s (PPS) Packaging Process Specification.
• Responsible for adherence to procedures and accuracy of paperwork.
• When necessary, submit requests for label printing and equipment requirements.
• Supervise the jobs running in your area and perform quality checks when necessary.
• Equipment setup sign off.
• Can operate all machines in assigned area.
• Use a hand truck or pallet jack to load, unload, move, or stack materials or products.
• Perform various general production duties which include labeling, capping, and filling containers.
• Maintain weight and fill volume records.
• Ensure that all materials are handled and disposed of in a proper manner and all work areas remain clean and safe.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Must practice good safety habits at all times and wear steel toed shoes and safety glasses while on the production floor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Must be computer literate; familiar with running the Windows operating system and be proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
• Good communication skills are required.
• Must pay acute attention to detail, count accurately, and perform simple math.
• Must have time management skills.
• Must be organized, able to problem solve, and have analytical skills with the ability to manage priorities and workflow.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs., additional weight with assistance.
• Must be able to operate basic hand tools and instruments.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
