Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides professional expertise in the design, development and implementation of development programs including technical competency, leadership, company and software training; by identifying and assessing the training needs of the organization through job analysis, career paths and consultation with all areas of business Management.
- Develops and manages relationships with training vendors and consultants on training needs. Assists with procurement and curriculum development that meet company requirements.
- Coordinates and maintains training schedule.
- Assists Talent Development Manager with employee development programs such as the Apprenticeship, 360 reviews, Territory Manager Enrichment Program and Business Residency Program.
- Works closely with the HR team to coordinate onboarding activities including orientation and new hire mentor program.
- Coordinates educational programs for high school and post-secondary schools such as the manufacturing technology summer camp.
- Manages training rooms ensuring STIHL has the most appropriate equipment to facilitate the training strategy. Partners with management and Talent Development Manager to determine what equipment is appropriate.
- In conjunction with Safety Manager, identifies and implements process improvements to ensure company-wide compliance with safety training requirements.
- Participates on various Human Resources project teams to develop new initiatives and programs aimed at improving organizational and employee effectiveness.
- Maintains Learning Management System content and data.
- Uses established methods to collect and report quality of development programs. Assists in analyzing budget accounts, monthly reports, training metrics, and training records for accuracy.
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Specifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Performs work under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- HR / Training / Education background preferred.
- Experience with Apprenticeship programs preferred.
Salary : $53,400 - $67,700
