Functions as primary receptionist for all incoming patients to the Hospital Emergency Department and Surgical Services Department; and services observation patients, inpatients, and various outpatient services.
Essential Qualifications: Customer service experience is required. Prior clerical and/or health care experience is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology is highly desirable. Prior experience in a medical facility, reception, or billing/insurance is preferred. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills are required. Congenial, pleasant, friendly, and helpful disposition is required, as this position involves continuous contact with the public, providers, other Hospital staff, and insurance companies. A bilingual background is an asset to the position. Familiarity with computer applications required. Must have technical aptitude and a willingness to learn software applications.
