Job Summary
The Receptionist receives and routes all incoming calls and greets visitors. Provides clerical support to Management and office staff.
Essential Functions
- Greets and welcomes guests as soon as they arrive at the office.
- Directs visitors to the appropriate person and office.
- Answers, screens and forwards incoming phone calls.
- Ensures reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures).
- Provides clerical support to Management and office staff.
- Provides basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email.
- Prepares and mails information packets.
- Receives, sorts and distributes daily mail/deliveries.
- Maintains office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (call button).
- Orders front office supplies and keep inventory of stock.
- Keeps updated records of office expenses and costs.
- Performs other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing.
- Serves as backup for mail clerk as needed
- Any other task or services needed in the office
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Keyboarding skills
- Customer service experience
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. on occasion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS Windows and Office experience (Word & Excel)
- One year of office/administrative experience or Associate Degree in Administration/Business
Salary: $15- $18/hour
