Position Summary :
Anistar is seeking an experienced Structured Cable Technicians to provide assistance with the installation, termination, and testing of various types of voice and data cables as well as security / access control equipment.
MUST be comfortable working from a lift.
Job Responsibilities :
- Installing access control and CCTV equipment in commercial environment
- Cameras, door strikes, key pads, mag locks
- Ability to read prints; Ability to take direction
- Must be familiar with Cat6 Cabling and terminations
- Experience with cabling pathways, CAT cabling and installation.
- Reliable transportation
Basic scope of work includes :
- Pulling, routing, installing and terminating structured cabling infrastructure in a commercial environment.
- 2 years’ experience installing and servicing voice and data systems in a commercial environment.
- Ownership of basic telecom tools : Punch down, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, Hard Hat, Boots, Safety Glasses, etc.
- Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA or NEC Standards.
- Ability to provide two professional references.
