Patient Care Coordinator Responsibilities
- Greets and check-in patients, verify and update necessary information in the medical records/database, performs all registration functions and collect copays and balances due as appropriate
- Manage the surgery schedule and effectively communicate this with physicians, anesthesia and Center Manager, and other staff members. Notifies the appropriate Surgical and Anesthesia staff of any changes made to the surgical schedule.
- Answer and screens in-bound calls, take messages, and provide appropriate information to patients as well as handling outgoing phone calls
- Check and disseminate faxes daily
- The PCC works closely with the surgical coordinators, physician’s office staff, and Anesthesia staff to obtain surgery information for the upcoming surgeries.
- Responsible for preparing all patient charts to include the following: clinical paperwork, demographic information along with insurance verifications and pre-certification. Organize chart forms for the surgical staff prior to surgery day.
- Responsible for retrieving surgery operative reports and pathology reports from the online systems daily and sending reports to physician for signature, once the reports are signed, the PCC will upload the report to the electronic medical record system.
- The Patient Care Coordinator will scan every patient’s Medical Record into the electronic Medical Records system
- Performs routine filing of medical records.
- Prepares required surgical Pre-op paperwork / folders for the Physician office.
- Accurately and concisely document patient feedback and special needs to our staff and physicians to provide excellent care during each surgery
- Explain and communicate Roswell Center for Foot & Ankle Surgery services in an informational, influential, concise, uplifting, and personable manner with outstanding etiquette
· Complies with all surgery center policy and procedures
· Contribute to team effort by assisting with additional duties and when support is requested and performs all other duties as assigned by Center Manager.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
