SHIFT: Day JobSCHEDULE: Full-time
Responsible for oversight and team management for Medicare Valuation, quarterly regulatory reporting, and actuarial opinions. Leading actuarial research required to identify and solve actuarial problems.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Prepares and interprets data and related formulae.
- Serves on major, multi-function projects as Actuarial representative.
- Organizes and directs the staffing and work flow of the section.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Manages actuarial model development and maintenance.
- Manages actuarial data delivery and support.
- Conducts experience analysis. IDM IT coordination.
- Monitors developments in actuarial techniques, researches laws and regulations applicable to actuarial science and insurance operations.
- Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
Qualifications
Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 8 years of related professional/managerial experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Requires ASA/MAAA and FSA. Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, strong PC capabilities and excellent managerial skills strongly preferred. Valuation and Medicare business experience are both a plus.
