What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mgr II Financial Ops Dept position at Anthem?
*Will consider highly qualified candidates from additional locations. This position will take part in Elevance Health's hybrid work model which includes remote work and 0-3 days in office per month.
Responsible for managing the daily operations of several units of similar complexity for one of the following functional areas of Finance: cash receipts, cash application, claim audits, collections, overpayment vendor validation, provider receivables, ASO billings and claim adjustments.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Maintains high production standards.
- Anticipates change and emerging customer and associate needs.
- Develops staffing models and inventory reduction plans.
- Anticipates problems and opportunities within the units managed and determines resolutions.
- Acts as a mentor for others.
- Creates and develops partnerships with other departments including Sales, Underwriting, Healthcare Management, Claims, Customer Service, Third Party Recovery and Membership.
- Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
Requires minimum of 5 years experience with operations, financial reporting and analysis, audit guidelines, budgeting and multi-state operations and processes and minimum of 3 years management experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Experiences:
- Experience with complex business environments including multiple entity and highly automated situations
- Prior managerial operations experience
- Experience with inventory reduction and maintenance
- Good communication skills and culture and team building experience.
For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $87,600 to $157,680
