What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Spotter position at AP Express?
Yard Spotter:
AP Express is seeking out a full-time yard spotter to join our team. We are looking for an experienced individual that is self-motivated and will help keep our yard organized and assist drivers with their containers, as well as assist the warehouse team.

Responsibilities:
- Help to maintain an organized yard
- Help with yard duties
Yard Spotter Duties:
- Yard hostlers will drive and maneuver yard goat & trailers from dock to dock switching out empty trailers with full trailers to keep production moving.
- Safety is always the key, so drivers must be safety-minded, perform pre and post-trips daily, chock rear wheels.
- Be aware of safety hazards in all weather conditions and check trailers before pulling away from the dock doors.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Driver must have strong communication skills as they will be interacting and taking direction from dispatchers, or warehouse managers on a consistent basis through radio and on-board
Requirements:
- To be 23 years of age or older
- Valid Class C driver's license
- Safe driving record and history
- To pass a DOT drug test.
- To pass a company-paid DOT physical and pre-hire test.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule that includes overtime, day, night, and weekend shifts
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
