ABOUT THE ROLE
Upstate Elevator Supply Co. is Vermont’s leading brand of cannabis-infused edibles and beverages. Family-owned and operated, the Burlington-based company is distributed in 1,000 retailers nationwide. Since its founding in 2017, Upstate Elevator’s passion has been revitalizing the connection between humans and plants and making the world feel good by creating the finest fleet of cannabis products available anywhere.
We are seeking a Marketing Manager to assist with the execution of digital marketing strategies and end-to-end content development for our family of brands including Upstate Elevator Supply Co, Upstate Elevator Operators, & Green State Dispensary. This individual is highly organized and creative with a proven track record of driving organic engagement and growth through social media and community building. The ideal candidate thrives in social situations, has a passion for the CBD/cannabis/wellness space and a deep understanding of social trends.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy & Positioning:
- Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive content and social media strategy across digital platforms, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and audience targets.
- Brainstorm new, unique ideas and direction for social content and marketing campaigns.
Calendar Management:
- Manage social media calendar & ensure alignment across teams.
Content Creation:
- Concept, develop, produce and edit engaging content that resonates with our audience, staying ahead of trends and features to ensure relevancy.
- Bring authenticity, wit, humor, relatability, confidence, enthusiasm, joy and a unique perspective to our on-camera presence!
- Source and brief other creators for content as needed. The main focus of this role will be on organic content but we would also love someone who can collaborate on paid creative.
Platform Management:
- Oversee day-to-day management of all social channels including content scheduling, monitoring, engagement
Community Engagement:
- Implement strategies to engage with and grow our community, ensuring an integrated approach across channels and at in-person events.
- Foster social community, responding to comments and reviews, collaborating with creators, participating in relevant trends
Brand Advocacy:
- Identify and nurture brand advocates within the community, encouraging them to spread positive word-of-mouth and engage other users.
- Leverage brand advocates to share user-generated content and testimonials to boost brand credibility.
- Work with the Director of Digital Marketing to plan influencer strategies, identifying, engaging with, and managing influencer & brand partnerships.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Provide regular reports on performance across platforms and campaigns including engagement, reach and ROI
Communication & Collaboration:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects and stakeholders and provide support to our events, retail and customer service teams.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 3 years experience curating, managing, and optimizing social media pages for a brand or organization
- 3 years of experience working within a professional team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey the brand's voice.
- Experience producing, editing and deploying video content for social media channels
- Proficiency with social media tools (e.g., Later, Adobe Suite, Google Analytics, etc)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills for data interpretation.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, LinkedIn, Meta Business Suite, Youtube, TikTok, etc.)
- An ability to manage multiple creative projects and to meet deadlines
- A desire and willingness to expand your skills and grow within an organization
- Ability to travel and support weekend and evening events.
