SUMMARY: Responsible for checking the final product to assure it is in compliance with the
product specifications. Must perform numerous measurements of the product and keep quality
audit records.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for completing process inspections at all stages of the manufacturing process.
Accurately and completely fill out records of such inspections including resolution of any problems identified.
Verify all change over and new product set-ups.
Coordinate with the Shift Supervisor to assure the properly trained and capable individuals are assigned to each position on the manufacturing floor.
Perform finished goods/dock audits on product prior to release to the warehouse staging area.
Assure the ongoing care and condition of gages, test pieces and fit parts.
Review all of your shift quality paperwork and check it for completeness and accuracy.
Complete nonconforming material reports and assure proper tagging and isolation of nonconforming material.
Complete random inspections of product at various points along the manufacturing process to assure quality and as a test of machine stability.
Monitor product quality plans to assure all necessary procedures and paperwork has been completed and is available where needed
Complete First Piece and Last Piece inspections.
Report all nonconformances to the shift supervisor as well as the quality technician.
Complete detailed dimensional and functional testing and inspection as required by quality plan
Assist with break periods when time allows.
Auditor will communicate at all times with floor supervision and management personnel with a positive and professional response at all times.
Remove boxes from the production floor and place in the staging area.
Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
Should be detail oriented
Familiar with measuring devices and auditing procedures.
Ability to stand, walk and lift up to 25 pounds for long periods of time.
