Quality Auditor

POSITION: Quality Auditor

SUMMARY: Responsible for checking the final product to assure it is in compliance with the

product specifications. Must perform numerous measurements of the product and keep quality

audit records.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for completing process inspections at all stages of the manufacturing process.
• Accurately and completely fill out records of such inspections including resolution of any problems identified.
• Verify all change over and new product set-ups.
• Coordinate with the Shift Supervisor to assure the properly trained and capable individuals are assigned to each position on the manufacturing floor.
• Perform finished goods/dock audits on product prior to release to the warehouse staging area.
• Assure the ongoing care and condition of gages, test pieces and fit parts.
• Review all of your shift quality paperwork and check it for completeness and accuracy.
• Complete nonconforming material reports and assure proper tagging and isolation of nonconforming material.
• Complete random inspections of product at various points along the manufacturing process to assure quality and as a test of machine stability.
• Monitor product quality plans to assure all necessary procedures and paperwork has been completed and is available where needed
• Complete First Piece and Last Piece inspections.
• Report all nonconformances to the shift supervisor as well as the quality technician.
• Complete detailed dimensional and functional testing and inspection as required by quality plan
• Assist with break periods when time allows.
• Auditor will communicate at all times with floor supervision and management personnel with a positive and professional response at all times.
• Remove boxes from the production floor and place in the staging area.
• Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Should be detail oriented
• Familiar with measuring devices and auditing procedures.
• Ability to stand, walk and lift up to 25 pounds for long periods of time.

Pay: $17.75 - $18.50 per hour
