Civil Foreman

As a Civil Foreman, your role involves supervising and overseeing construction projects to ensure that work is carried out efficiently, safely, and in accordance with plans and specifications. You will be responsible for equipment and materials required for construction activities. Additionally, you will need to inspect and maintain quality and safety standards on the construction site, promptly addressing any issues or concerns.

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide on-site management and leadership to a crew of civil technicians, ensuring all jobs are completed within budget and accurately
• Operate heavy machinery as needed
• Read and understand construction drawings or other blueprints
• Effectively and efficiently complete assigned tasks
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE (personal protection equipment)
• Proficient in concrete finishing methods
• Develop lay out daily plans for the execution of each job
• Document job progress in photographs as required for customer deliverables
• Manage and develop employee skills to increase job site productivity
• Provide required paperwork and documentation regarding work practices on-site as well as achievement of production milestones
• Manage job timelines and schedules thoroughly and consistently
• Participate in job-kickoff meetings
• Submit daily progress reports and documentation for each job
• Communicate professionally with customer representatives, crews, and leadership
• Scheduling and reviewing assigned crews and adhering to project schedules
• Adhering to all company and industry (i.e., OSHA, NATE) standards/regulations

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of Civil Foreman experience and/or strong civil background
• Possession of a valid driver’s license
• Ability to travel and work outside of normal business hours
• Working knowledge of hand tools, heavy mechanical equipment, and electro-mechanical equipment
• Working knowledge of underground marking

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

• Local, out-of-the-area and extended travel is required (up to 95%)

COMPENSATION:

• $31-$45
