Apex Systems is looking for an Application Developer located in the Jackson, Mississippi area!
Role: Application Developer
Duration: Contract to Hire
Location: On-site in Jackson, MS
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Fully engaged in bringing our strategic vision of personalized wireless to life through: Demonstrated ability and solid work ethic to perform technical tasks including analysis, design, coding, debugging, and implementation of software applications. Research, propose, and implement solutions to production issues and trouble tickets as assigned by Manager. Assist in performing unit and integration testing, present final test results, and obtain agreement and approval. Prepare program and/or process documentation. Perform basic operational task as required. Demonstrate a strong understanding of and the ability to using Visual Studios, VB script, C#, JavaScript, Json, jQuery, SQL 2 Scripting and bootstrap in a professional development environment. Development experience is no less than 3 years Identifies issues and finds resolutions to those issues before the customer is affected. Acts as a resource for Level I developers for basic guidance. Perform additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Candidate must have a Bachelors degree related to Computer Science, or Associates degree related to Computer Science with 3-years' experience in software development.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Candidate must have a Bachelors degree related to Computer Science, or Associates degree related to Computer Science with 3-years' experience in software development.
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the software development field is required.
- Software development experience and ability to effectively troubleshoot system problems are required.
- Demonstrated development experience in C#, JavaScript, HTML5, .Net, and Team Foundation Server. Other Microsoft development languages may be substituted. Database development experience using either SQL or Oracle is expected. UNIX, Linux, VM and Windows operating system experience expected.
- Ability to understand and follow design documentation to perform development activities with minimum supervision needed.
- Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of software development experience using C#, JavaScript, HTML, .Net and SQL.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining web-based application systems, such as user interface, integrations with purchased and in-house developed applications.
- Troubleshoots and solves reported software issues.
- Acts as a resource for Application Developer for basic guidance
- Works on software development projects and is responsible for its delivery.
- Work is generally independent but requires minimal supervision.
- Researches technical problems and suggests improvements for web applications.
- Analyzes and integrates new web products\echnologies with existing web applications to improve the web design and application functionality.
