Summary
Operates mine heavy equipment as directed and specified while adhering to all rules and regulations mandated by safety policies and procedures to produce a superior product. This is a part-time position.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Operates crusher and screening of aggregates in a mining facility
- Sets stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule, or templates
- Observes equipment operation to detect machine malfunction
- Performs routine maintenance on machines including lubricating, fueling and cleaning
- Ensures compliance with Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) regulations and environmental and safety regulations, and participates in scheduled safety meetings
- Make sure all housekeeping is maintained in a clean and orderly fashion in assigned area
- Ability to move levers, shift gears, depress pedals, and maneuver steering wheel to operate equipment
- Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
Qualifications
- Current knowledge of MSHA requirements. MSHA certification is a plus
- Prior experience and skills including all aspects of mining work, welding, torching, rigging, steel erection and general maintenance
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

Requirements / Education / Experience
- Must be able to pass an internal certification program
- Ability to operate wheel loaders, forklifts, trackhoes, and bulldozers safely and efficiently
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to be a self-starter and work independently
- Have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
Physical Environment
- While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to frequently stand on their feet for extended periods of time
- Must have the ability to live and/or move up to 100 lbs
- Withstand repetitive motion of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder
- Able to sit for extended periods, climb up & down from cab heights, work effectively in extreme outdoor climate(s) - cold, heat, rain, and fog
- Able to work a flexible schedule

Salary : $38,300 - $48,400
