Overview:
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities in various settings.
Duties:
- Assist individuals with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Implement care plans and ensure individual needs are met
- Monitor and document individual progress and behavior
- Accompany individuals to appointments and outings
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for the individuals
Skills:
- Experience in senior care, working with people with intellectual disabilities, or home care is preferred
- Knowledge of patient care practices and procedures
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality
- Ability to take vital signs and monitor health status preferred
- Experience in childcare or caregiving roles is a plus
- Understanding of resident rights and advocacy for individual needs
