We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Senior Buyer. This role is responsible for providing support as a representative of the Buyer’s Group and Logistics Warehouse Team for both Apple Park and SCV MaOps departments.
Key Qualifications
- Over 5 years as a Senior Buyer or Purchasing Lead.
- Facilities experience is preferred.
- Must have effective verbal and written (email) communication skills.
- Must possess strong customer service skills, having the ability to communicate effectively and provide clear and accurate direction to all levels of the organization.
- Must be organized and detail oriented to meet all quality expectations.
- Must work well under pressure in a fast paced, demanding work environment that is both task and goal driven.
- Manages time efficiently and demonstrates the ability to multi-task to meet to all deadline expectations.
- Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Administrative reports and database management experience is highly required.
- Intermediate to advanced skills with Mac platform and Microsoft Office software. Must have experience with daily data entry and be proficient with sorting and analyzing data on spreadsheets.
Description
The Senior Buyer is responsible for the following:
Lead and assist department buyers with daily order intake on the purchasing log and to make certain the order management docket system is running consistently.
Lead and assist department buyers with sourcing parts and supplies from a designated list of BPO and PCard vendors.
Ensure service request ticket notes are updated thoroughly and are completed once parts are received and invoices are ready for the portal.
Attend monthly meetings with the department supervisor and the PAID Team to ensure all pending invoices are addressed and vendors are updated.
Assist the department supervisor with sourcing bulk keep-stock items with various suppliers and to possibly set-up programs to benefit all operation groups.
Analyze data to identify trends, price breaks (cost savings), and introduce opportunities to improve overall business performance.
Assist the department supervisor with all process improvements. This includes implementing “best practices” and writing SOP’s to streamline daily procedures and workflow efficiencies.
Assist the department supervisor with monitoring and tracking daily BPO and AMEX transactions to ensure expenses do not exceed budgeted limits.
Assist the department supervisor with sorting and analyzing data for monthly-to-quarterly forecasting, new fiscal year budgets, and to build and maintain QBR and YTD reports.
Provide document control with all order management dockets for accurate record keeping.
Cross-trained in the warehouse/inventory operations to provide coverage.
Assist with special projects as needed.
Education & Experience
Some college, technical training, or extensive work experience required.

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $33.00 and $45.90/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
