Logistics Coordinator

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Intermodal department, in Burr Ridge IL, with coordinating daily freight load movements on a national scale, while maintaining customer satisfaction. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as BOL, invoices and orders to verify accuracy. • Effectively and professionally communicate with carriers and customers • Schedule pick up appointments per the customer•s requirements • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting. • Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials. QUALIFICATIONS: • 3 years of relevant experience within Logistics in third party (3PL) • Ideally intermodal and rail knowledge • Exceptional communication and customer service skills • Strong time management and attention to detail skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel, Outlook, Word • Ideally experience working in AS400 We're an equal opportunity employer.
