Material Handler

Located in Ventura a Warehouse is in need of a Material Handler Pay is $19hr. Job Title: Warehouse/Material Handler Type of position: Temp to Hire Hours: 9-6p.m. Monday - Friday Pay: $19 Summary: The Warehouse/Material Handler is responsible for receiving and placing inventory into stock, picking and packing orders for delivery, maintaining warehouse operations and keeping inventory control. Essential Job Functions: • Maintains the warehouse (including bins and aisles) neat and orderly • Follows all Company safety procedures and performs daily safety inspections • Performs all physical requirements necessary to lift and move inventory around the warehouse • Continues training on various electrical products and maintains required safety certifications • Receives incoming material, accurately identifies and notes any discrepancies to make the product ready for storage • Selects and packs customer orders; ensure conformance to customer standards and expectations • Reports out of stock items to Branch or Warehouse Manager • Checks merchandise against shipping tickets and transfers • Prepares bill of landing for shipment • Conducts cycle counts and bin location verifications and consolidates inventory as needed; follows established procedures for handling stock discrepancies • Assists customers at the counter when necessary • May perform other duties as assigned • May work mandatory overtime as needed Qualifications • Minimum of 1 year experience in warehouse environment • Ability to read and write in English legibly • Able to do basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) AppleOne is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
