Seasonal Tax Specialist - San Jose, CA

Seasonal Tax Specialist Location: San Jose Salary: Up to $75/hr. Our client is looking for an experienced Income and Franchise Tax Contractor to join our Multistate Tax Services group. In this role, you will work with a core client base, providing compliance services and collaborating with tax engagement teams on large, complex tax projects. Responsibilities: • Conducting technical reviews of partnership and corporate state tax returns and work papers • Addressing multistate tax issues such as apportionment, state modifications, nexus, unitary filings, and flow-through taxation • Performing reviews of estimated payment and withholding calculations and related filings • Researching state tax legislation and its impact on compliance • Collaborating with in-house Tax team Requirements: • Strong understanding of state taxation and compliance • Experience in technical review of partnership and corporate state tax returns • Knowledge of multistate tax issues and their implications • Ability to work collaboratively with others, including tax engagement teams and in-house Tax team • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal This is a contractor role, but there is room for growth within the company.
