JOB SUMMARY Develop technical design specification and solution based on business requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Analyzes designs, creates, enhances, and tests complex application software with limited guidance from senior personnel. Troubleshoots issues and makes recommendations to improve efficiency and accuracy of application software. Uses knowledge of development language(s), development procedures, structured methodologies, and computer platform(s) to complete assignments and continues to expand knowledge in these areas as needed. Employs interpersonal and verbal communication skills necessary to effectively coordinate interrelated activities with coworkers, end-users, and management. Provides timely status updates. Exhibits effective written communication skills necessary to produce documentation that accurately and effectively describes application software functionality. Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES N/A Minimum Required Qualifications MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education and/or Experience Education or experience equivalent to a four year college degree is required. At least three years related work experience is required. Healthcare experience preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations N/A SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES Excellent verbal/written communication skills and the ability to convey thoughts and ideas clearly and effectively. Strong attention to detail, documentation and organizational skills. Interpersonal and presentation skills. Analytical and problem solving skills. Time management skills to prioritize work. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to set technical direction for a project or application. Computer Skills AS400/RPG/CL/SYNON ALDON experience, working in SDLC environment Experience with application development and best practices Language Skills English (reading, writing, verbal). Mathematical Skills Basic level mathematical proficiency, with a strong ability to understand, interpret and develop spreadsheet data. PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. It also may require occasional lifting, carrying, walking, climbing, kneeling, bending/stooping, twisting, pulling/pushing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching above the shoulder.
