This position is part of our Antaya Technologies business unit within Aptiv's Connection Systems segment in Warwick, RI. The Connection Systems (CS) segment of Aptiv is a global business with over 20,000 employees and present in 5 continents. Your Role

As the Process Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, integrating, or improving manufacturing systems or related processes to increase producibility and decrease costs.

In your daily job you will:

• Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts.
• Design testing methods and test finished products or process capabilities to establish standards or validate process requirements.
• Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes.
• Review product designs for manufacturability or completeness, and development of latest processes.
• Design layout of equipment or workspaces to achieve maximum efficiency.
• Lead cost saving and continuous improvement projects by working closely with production and technical support teams to improve quality, reduce scrap, improve throughput and reduce overall product cost.
• Adhere to EMS and IATF 16949 Policies and Procedures.

Your Background

Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in the field of Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial, Chemical, Metallurgic, Materials; or closely related field.
• Candidates for positions with Aptiv must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Minimum of 1 years of experience in a Process Engineering role in manufacturing and/or the automotive industry
• Must have excellent analytical skills with knowledge of Six Sigma methodology.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical processes strongly preferred.
• Must have excellent organizational and technical writing skills.
