Schedule : Monday - Friday with occasional Saturday overtime based on volume.
Responsible for processing and maintaining all DOT paperwork on drivers and equipment and enforcing the Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations to ensure the Aquatic Fleet operates within DOT compliance. The Transportation Coordinator interacts with drivers, central dispatch, plant personnel, customers, and vendors. The incumbent must have good knowledge of all DOT Regulations and company rules and procedures. The individual will deal with all aspects of the driver’s employment with Aquatic including the following: drivers' personal information, payroll, logs, trip reports, evaluate drivers, and all DOT regulation on all tractors and trailers. This position requires independent work with the keen ability to detect administrative errors, and to have excellent organizational skills, effective oral and written communication. Need to demonstrate the ability to problem solve with a calm, professional and assertive demeanor. The incumbent will use the AS400 for entry of all driver's information, trip information and equipment information into the computer system for all DOT regulations.
Education:
High school diploma, GED certificate or equivalent.
Safety Requirements:
Follow all company policies and safety rules as trained. Completion of the Reasonable Suspicion Testing Section 382.603 of the regulations

A. ESSENTIAL Functions and Tasks:
Essential functions are core to this position, performed more frequently, not able to be reassigned, or cannot be redesigned or performed in another way.
1.Be able to read and understand the driver ELD Logs and to help maintain driver’s logs, and recaps. Learn and understand the driver's qualification files and review these for accuracy and comply with DOT regulations.
2.Prepare driver payroll off the ELD logs/trip jackets and audit their per diem calculations to the driver’s ELD logs.
3.Use the AS400 computer system (Fleet menu area) to maintain accurate and updated records on all drivers, deliveries and equipment.
4.Audit all fleet billings to ensure accuracy, identify nonconformance and prepare corrective actions. This will include Penske invoice and other vendor invoices
5.Organize and coordinate equipment for maximum efficiency / utilization. Make sure all equipment is DOT ready
6.Work closely with the Penske Truck Leasing team to identify / correct billings and maintenance problems. Have meetings with Penske to address any issues
7.Monitor equipment for servicing at required intervals.
8.Purchasing of bulk fuel and DEF for equipment.
9.Issue appropriate employee discipline as required.
10.Monitoring of the DOT Drug and Alcohol testing
11.Monitoring of JJ Keller ELD Logging System for fleet efficiency.
12.Yard inspection and audit of all equipment.
13.Inspect and maintain fuel island and documentation for WA State Dept of Ecology. Will require completion of UST Training for certification.
14.Monitor the JJ Keller Videos for unsafe driving situations and discipline drivers if necessary.
B. Non-Essential Functions and Tasks:
Non-essential functions are of less importance to this position, performed less frequently, able to be reassigned, or the function can be redesigned or performed in another way.
1.Process month end reports as required.
2.Schedule and conduct driver safety meetings.
3.Processing of all equipment / personal injury accidents and maintaining related files.
4.Schedule Accident Review Boards as needed.
5.Conduct interviews of driver applicants and hiring of drivers. Conduct disciple of driver including termination as needed
