Job Summary:

We’re looking for a Vice President, Human Resources to provide overall strategic human resources support for Aquestive Therapeutics. Success in this role requires strong business acumen, exceptional leadership and management skills, progressive thinking, passion for building an inclusive and high-performance culture and a people first approach. Reporting to the CEO the Vice President, Human Resources will be responsible for strategic leadership, functional oversight, and direct hands-on implementation of innovative solutions and improvements across all aspects of Human Resources, ensuring integration and alignment with the business strategy.

The right candidate must be highly adaptable, analytical, motivated, and a natural relationship builder.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the human resource function for a publicly traded company and ensure the Company remains compliant with government and regulatory requirements related to human capital.
  • Strive to build a best-in-class human resource function focused on delivering high-quality support to the organization.
  • Develop and own a comprehensive talent management process for the Company including (1) attracting top talent, (2) developing our internal talent, and (3) maintaining a robust performance management process.
  • In conjunction with the talent management process, build and maintain best-in-class processes for diversity, compensation and benefits, long-term incentive compensation, and colleague engagement.
  • Lead the Company’s organizational design process by partnering with the CEO and the Company’s executive team to ensure that the organization is positioned well for success.
  • Partner with the Company’s communications group to build a robust and transparent internal communications process.
  • Act as a strategic advisor and thought partner to the CEO and serve as a valued strategic contributor to the company’s executive team.
  • Provide advice, support, and resolution to people managers on a broad range of escalated employment issues including HR policy interpretation, disciplinary performance management, HR investigations and terminations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of diversified Human Resources experience
  • Excellent HR technical competency along with a demonstrated knowledge of HR legal environment
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize, having a bias for action, strong work ethic and desire for excellence
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically and creatively when resolving issues and addressing concerns
  • Fine-tuned verbal and written communication skills – able to deliver clear, concise, effective messages
  • Strategic thinker who is also accustomed to working in a hands-on manner to accomplish multiple priorities.
  • Ability to quickly build rapport and establish and maintain productive, trust-based, and effective relationships with a wide variety of individuals across diverse groups.
  • Ability to navigate within a fast-paced, rapidly changing business environment; comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
  • Effective project and process management skills; able to effectively manage and/or administer a project from start to finish.
  • High personal standard of integrity with the ability to handle sensitive matters with objectivity and discretion.
  • A solid track record of influencing senior business leaders while demonstrating excellent decision quality
